ELIGIBILITY
This competition is open to any PHRF type yacht wishing to compete in a shorthanded event. There will be a single-handed and double handed class. Both spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes will be offered in each class. 

 RULES
This race will be governed by the current International Yacht Racing Rules and the PHRF class rules except as altered by the Sailing Instructions.
RACE COURSE
The course will begin at the start line adjacent to mark 39 and proceed to Oil Platform Emmy then around Traffic Lane Buoy "S". The finish will be in the vicinity of the stern of the Queen Mary. The handicap distance is 27.6 nautical miles.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Late entries may obtain the instructions from Shoreline Yacht Club. No race packets will be given out at the Committee Boat for safety reasons. Class breaks will be listed in the sailing instructions.
TROPHIES
There will be take-home trophies for each class based on the number of entries. There will also be trophies for the first and last to finish. There are also perpetual trophies for best overall corrected times in Singlehanded Spinnaker and Singlehanded Non-spinnaker.

This event is free to all members of SCYA recognized Yacht Clubs.

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry I hereby agree as follows:

1. My yacht will be equipped to conform with any USCG safety requirements or those of the fleet in which I shall compete.

2. Any contestant may inspect my yacht before or after the race.

3. I agree to comply with all rules or sailing instructions governing the race.

4. I hereby release the clubs, their officers, agents or committee personnel from any and all liability for injury to myself, my crew, or my yacht arising out of their conduct of the race, to the extent that such release does not discharge my insurance carrier under provisions of insurance policies on my yacht.

5. I assume any risk of injury arising out of my participation in the race, failure or breakage of my yacht or any equipment, or weather conditions.

6. I agree not to sail in hazardous conflict with commercial shipping.
